No experience with Qigong or Taichi is required to attend the Levels 1&2 Qigong workshops and they are open to the community at large. In order to advance to further levels however, full attendance is required. No late arrivals or early departures are allowed without special permission from Dr Wong. Levels 1&2 are the requirement for "Enhancing Your Health with Qigong".

About Daoist Qigong Levels 1 & 2:
Cultivate strength of body and calmness of mind through the healing Taoist practice of qigong. This intensive is a rare opportunity to receive instruction in two unique qigong lineages, the Pre-Celestial Limitless Gate School (Xiantianwujimen) and the Yiquan School. In Level I, we will practice techniques to strengthen the musculoskeletal systems, nourish internal organs, circulate energy and still the mind. In Level II, we will delve more deeply into postures that cultivate flexibility, strength and softness in the joints, muscles and tendons. Self massage techniques to support our internal organs and circulate qi, or life energy, through our meridians will also be shared.

About Enhancing Your Health with Qigong:
Qigong is not just a casual exercise. The forms of qigong can improve specific aspects of health. In this program, we will use the qigong you have learned from levels 1 and 2 to increase the movement of joints, relax and build muscle, repair and enhance tendons and ligaments, align the spinal column, and strengthen bone. Qigong can also improve digestion, enhance general circulation, and even bring clarity to our thoughts and actions. About Dr. Eva Wong:
Eva Wong is a 19th generation lineage carrier of the Primordial Limitless Gate School of Daoism. The student of Sun Di, she is also a 3rd generation lineage descendant of Wang Xiangzhai. She is an independent scholar who has written and translated many books on Daoism and related topics, including Nourishing The Essence of Life: The Outer, Inner, and Secret Teachings of Taoism and A Master Course in Feng Shui (both from Shambhala Publications). She has designed a comprehensive program involving nine levels of qigong training that she started teaching in Ottawa in 2008.
